Today I caught a rumour online that suggests in addition to a cast member leaving, a major character from Smallville will die before the Season 6 Finale. After reading it, I am going to call bullshit and hope I am right.
Inside sources tell me exclusively that one of the main four castmembers—Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack or Kristin Kreuk—will be killed off before the season ends.Although all of these castmembers are under contract for one more season (they initially signed seven-year deals), producers have decided to have one of their characters meet an untimely end, in a shocking plot twist.
Now to even tease that one of the characters might be Lex or Clark just makes no sense whatsoever. Granted Clark could “die” only to be brought back to life due to his Kryptonian regenerative powers, but it is unlikely they will go that way. And Lex is ALWAYS going to be Clark’s nemesis, so I doubt they would do that either.
That leaves Lana or Chloe.
Now other rumours according to Kryptonsite.com said there would be a cast member LEAVING the show, but that they are confident that if this rumour is true, it would be a different person. Which leads me to think TWO characters are off the show.
We are warned that the character who dies is a fan favourite, and of the core four, they all have their fans.
I vote Lana, as I have said before, her character is not as important as she once was.

I dont want Lana to die. I’m still one of the few who like her. But, if they said fan favorite, that would be Chloe. We’ll have to see. Maybe it’ll involve her powers she’s yet to discover.
Hmmm, we’ve had characters “die” before, it doesn’t mean said character will stay dead.
They are going to bring back Pete just to kill him off - You heard it here first!!
One of the reasons why I watch the show is the fact of Clark and Lana. I like the fact that she is on the show to steer away from the original story line. She does a great job and I definitely do not want to see her or Chloe go anywhere!
Why do they torture us so!
If they want to acknowledge the Chris Reeve Superman movies then they cant kill off Lana as she appears in Superman 3
Then again a lot of the stuff they have done has already made plot holes with regards to the Superman movies so you never know
Clone_TK422, a LONG time ago they decided that this version of the Superman story is NOT going to parallel the canon of the movies or the comics.
There are MANY inconsistencies in the TV show if you try to line them up with the comics or movies. Safe to say they are not trying to stick to any canon. Its much better if they simply have their own.
