Enrico Colantoni is fast becoming my favourite TV Personality. You probably don’t know his name, but he is better known as Veronica Mars’ dad Keith Mars, he was Elliot on Just Shoot Me and the leader of the Thermians in Galaxy Quest. He is just cool made out of pure awesome, and he is a fellow Canadian. He talks about his involvement in the Celine Dion TV Movie where he plays Celine’s husband, and spills about Veronica Mars.

MSN.ca Entertainment reports:

it’s gonna be so cool. I’m looking forward to it! They keep changing the script, the sons-a-bitches, but the essence of it is still there, it’s a love story. I don’t really remember the guy all that well; I left for the U.S. right around the time she came out [in English-speaking Canada], so I don’t have an impression of the guy. What I’m reading is that he’s a liberator of sorts, he stuck by her, and it all seems very beautiful to me. And if there is any controversy, it’s not in this script.

Not a big Celine Dion fan, but the story of her falling in love with her much older manager and eventually marrying him.

Later in the article he spills on the future of Veronica Mars. The future of Veronica Mars is still in limbo, and Enrico is asked if he would feel good if these last 5 episodes are in fact to be the end of Mars.

You know what bro? No. We did seven years of Just Shoot Me, and never got the opportunity to say goodbye. They never told us that we were cancelled, we never got that Newhart or Seinfeld last episode. It’s always nice to tie things up nicely, and so no, I wouldn’t be satisfied if it’s over. There are a lot of loyal, rabid fans who deserve a proper goodbye.

I couldnt agree more. The only thing worse than a fan favourite series getting cancelled, is to be cancelled without resolution or a goodbye.

It would make the whole series feel empty and pointless. I would not be happy about the series ending, but at least give us a chance to say goodbye. Hopefully they will at least give the future FBI Mars show a shot before dropping the axe.
