Survivor China starts this fall but the buzz coming out of CBS is about the following season. The crew from TV Gasm drops this knowledge:
Mark Burnett has got another All-Star edition of Survivor headed our way and word is that the series is scheduled to go into production in October, and run after Survivor: China, the fifteenth season that’s being taped this summer.
This round of All-Stars contestants will be limited to competitors from Seasons 9 through 15. And there’s one big– and compelling– difference from the first edition…
Rather than being based on popularity, the contestant selection will be based on “Who most deserves another chance?”.
Who would you like to see back from these seasons? Personally I would like to see from Season 11; Bobby Jon, Rafe, and Stephenie, from Season 12; Terry, Courtney, and Shane, from Season 13; Cao Boi, Jessica, and Billy, and from Season 14; Yau Man, Mookie, and Anthony.
I’ve always thought an All-Star show of all of the people who were voted off first would make for an interesting season too.

Survivor All-Stars sucks. The only good thing that came out of the last one, was Rob & Amber. But that was a personal victory, not a show victory. The show itself was really a let down cause everyone knew each other. The real “power” players were all voted out early simply to get them out of the game. The point of Survivor is to bring a group of STRANGERS together, and see how in a short period of time, one can rise to become sole Survivor. If a guy like Colby can’t get to the merge, then its not a show worth watching.
I know that a girl from the WWE has been lent to Survivor for a show. Is there a celebrity version coming?
How about bringing back everyone that was kicked off first from every season? That would be the ultimate. To me that would be the most “deserving” reason.
So… they did a ‘all stars’ version? Wasn’t the All Stars Amazing Race enough. It would work in that format, because getting removed is based on your skills. Not other people.
yes. It’s about stangers being thrown together. You just never know the dynamics. Let’s assume that the people watch the other series, if, for no other reason, just tp get an idea of what they will have to do. Then they KNOW these ‘all stars’.
Now, a season of people voted off in the first round. Hmm.. Interesting. Could work. We wouldn’t know them well enough from TV. So as good as strangers.
You could call it Survivor: Second Chance. Extend it to people voted off in the 1st or 2nd rounds (just to ensure you get enough people).
But I doubt I’d watch it.
