Heroes: World Tour

I am still itching for another season of Heroes. I think it actually surpassed my love/lust for Battlestar Galactica, but that could be because it is more recent in my memory, and will be half way through the second season before BSG even gets started again. So coming across some of this news was a pleasant surprise.

Inside the Box says:

We can now answer, more or less definitively, one of the burning questions about the finale of Heroes in May. To wit: Why the heck couldn’t Peter fly away by himself?

“Here’s how it was explained to me,” says Adrian Pasdar, who plays’ Peter’s (Milo Ventimiglia) brother Nathan and who ferried him to the sky to explode. “He was unstable, unable to control his powers. And if he did fly off he wouldn’t have been able to control” any of the other powers he’d absorbed, most pertinently the explodability Peter got from Ted Sprague.

Now, just earlier this week I was chatting with John Campea and I suggested the same ending. I didn’t mind the explaination as it fit well with my own assumptions, but John felt it was a cop out for them to kill off Nathan. But even still, at the speed he flies, he could have dropped Peter and buggered off. I just don’t think they will.

Pasdar, Coleman and most of their fellow castmates gathered to announce a “Heroes World Tour” that will coincide with the season one DVD launch and the show’s rollout in a number of other countries. Members of the cast will head out to New York, London, Paris, Munich, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore to promote the show and greet fans overseas; to kick things off, creator Tim Kring used Hiro’s (Masi Oka) sword to cut into a giant, globe-shaped cake.

The world tour sounds like the fashion world more than the TV world!

Other bits we get to hear about are not much in the way of Spoilers, but just in case you are the type that wants to hear NOTHING about it, you were warned.

Its going to pick up 4 months after the finale, Claire has a new love interest, and samurai warrior Takezo Kensei meets Hiro. Also, there will be a lot more revealed about the parents and the older cast will reflect on how their choices impacted their children’s lives.

No word yet on if Nathan Patrelli survived. (I vote no)

  1. Daniel Said,

    SPOILER:

Auctally Rodney, according to TV guide both Nathan and Peter will be back

  2. Rodney Said,

But even Peter’s girlfriend “came back”

Just because he is in an episode, doesn’t mean he isnt in a flashback,
or that the shapeshifter girl didnt pretend to be him. Remember in the
future episode, Sylar had gained the shapeshifter’s power and was posing as Nathan all the way to the presidency.
