This is a bit of old news, but it was news to my ears.

According to IGN, Adult Swim has now conquered Friday nights!

“In the past few years Cartoon Network has had great success with their Adult Swim late night branding. Now Cartoon Network has announced that they will begin airing Adult Swim content on Fridays, which had been the only night of the week without any of the adult themed programming until now. Adult Swim comes to Friday nights on the Cartoon Network beginning July 6th at 11:00 pm ET/PT.”

The article goes on to announce that three news shows will premiere this summer and that Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law has been renewed, despite the fact that the last episode is believed to be airing sometime soon. I pray that this renewal is not of the final episodes but a second chance, but something tells me that is, sadly, not the case.

I’m glad Friday nights are for the Adult Swimmers now! I never saw the point of showing those kiddie shows past 10 o’clock. This will give them a chance to crank out a few more new shows, or at least, give us just one more night of Futurama reruns.

What do you guys think? “The more the merrier”? Or “who cares, it’s just one more night”?
