The morning after the Chris Benoit family death has brought with it some more information, and some disturbing news.
CTV.ca reports:
Investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and son over the weekend and than himself some time on Monday.
More details are expected to emerge Tuesday after an autopsy report.
Officers are “not actively searching for any suspects outside of the house,” Pope said.
World Wrestling Entertainment aired a three-hour tribute show to Benoit instead of its usual “Monday Night RAW” TV show on the USA Network.
“I am deeply saddened over the loss of Chris Benoit,” WWE Canada president Carl DeMarco said on the organization’s website.
“My heartfelt thoughts and sympathy go out to his parents and family. My relationship with Chris has extended many years and I consider him a great friend. Chris was always first-class — warm, friendly, caring and professional … one of the best in our business.”
With all fingers pointed at the superstar, conflicted emotions rise. I myself am not a wrestling fanatic and I barely follow on the fringe of the sports entertainment show, but even that is enough to know that Benoit was an incredibly respected and loved figure in the organization.
Last night there was a 3 hour tribute show dedicated to Benoit in place of the regular scheduled event. All of which painted Benoit as a hero, loved father and husband. His hometown in Edmonton Alberta even declared April 15th “Chris Benoit Day” back in 2004.
How will all this be affected if it turns out he killed his own family? If he did commit this deed, will he be remembered for all the good he did, by the relationships he carried or this one final act?

If this is true and it turns out to be a case of “roid rage” lets hope they implement a strict system of regulation that will make the use of these drugs unacceptable. God what a tragic ending of any life.

Meh…
You think McMahon, who makes MILLIONS on athletes that are larger than life, would ban steroids? Are you really that naive?

Naive? Not likely in my job mate. Hopeful? Always.

This is an absolute tragedy! the WWE or whatever it is, is a complete joke/farse and should be regulated like baseball and football and such. How congress hasn’t ripped this thing apart is amazing. this idiots wife had a restraining order against him, and he couldnt control his roid rage and killed her and his son! now for the tragic news, apparently he injected his 7 YEAR OLD SON with steroids because he thought he was underdeveloped! You have got to be kidding me! what a crime against humanity! If congress can go after baseball and football and the like, they should attack the heck out of this crap. the wwe is for booger eaters and window lickers. how you can support this crap/type of behavior is amazing. and trust me this isnt the only case of “roid rage” amongst these imbiciles!

Barry if you’re under the mistaken impression I support or condone violation of the right of women and especially children, to live in a safe secure environment you’re barking up the wrong tree. I’m one of the suckers who eventually gets called to intervene or in worst case scenario, mop up messes like this. What I’m hoping for is this stink might force a clean up. If every one throws up their hands and goes “whatareya gonna do, they make millions of it” it ain’t gonna happen, but if enough fuss is made…… maybe.
