News talking about how Adult Swim will reign Fridays for now on. Most of it really isn’t news. Inf act, the article I posted about a few days ago gave more new information than this one did. But it does give us a very interesting tidbit over at IGN:
off Adult Swim’s first Friday ever, the network will run a Family Guy marathon, 11 p.m. 2 a.m. (ET, PT).
Family Guy owes some of its prolonged existence to Adult Swim. Ok, maybe it owes more to the dvd sales, but I’d like to think that if it werent for Adult Swim airing reruns after the second (or third?) cancellation, the Griffon family would still be retired. And on the plus side, Adult Swim really has made things easier by showing the new episodes too. So if you missed them Sunday, they would air Thursdays. I applaud that.
But a part of me wonders, why a Family Guy marathon? Don’t get me wrong, I love Family Guy, but if you are going to unveil Adult Swim Fridays, initially being an Adult Swim celebration, then why not marathon one of their own shows. Why not a Aqua Teen marathon?

I would much rather see a Family guy Marathon, than a ATHF marathon……..
