This week we have the conclusion of last week’s cliffhanger Dalek reveal, and the Doctor learns what their new plan for domination is! As well as discovering what exactly they were doing to the still under construction Empire State building.

My favorite part of the episode is the fact that despite the Daleks and the Time Lords effectively wiped one another out, and still consider themselves enemies, the Doctor initially does his best to help the new Dalek, until, as these things are wont to do, things start to go wrong.

The VFX and SFX are still top notch for a TV show budget, and the story continues to be fun, though it is far from my favorite Dalek story so far. I think these two were probably the slowest moving episodes of the season, despite some fun moments. Which isn’t to say I hated them, I like them and their fun, but I won’t be watching this episode over and over again like I plan to with Blink! What an ep!
