The nominations have been announced for the 2007 Emmy Awards, and Entourage has a total of 7 noms in 6 categories, including best supporting actor nods for both Kevin Dillon and defending champ Jeremy Piven.

Here’s the list of what Entourage could take home on September 16th, according to HBO.com:

Outstanding Comedy Series

Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series
Kevin Dillon, Jeremy Piven

Outstanding Guest Actor In A Comedy Series
Martin Landau

Outstanding Directing For A Comedy Series
Julian Farino

Outstanding Casting For A Comedy Series
Sheila Jaffe, Georgianne Walken

Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (half-hour) And Animation
Steve Morantz, Dennis Kirk, Mark Fleming

It’s no secret that I’m rooting for Piven to capture the title of “Outstanding Supporting Actor” once again, but I’m thrilled that Dillon is being recognized for his portrayal of Johnny Chase, a role that I’ve really come to love over the past couple of seasons. I think their only serious competition in this category is Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute, The Office). I think Entourage’s chances are quite good this year at The Emmys. What do you think of Entourage’s nominations? Was anyone left out?
