This second to last episode of Entourage for the season has the focus on getting to Cannes for the Medellin screening.
Here’s the play-by-play from HBO.com:
A code orange at LAX threatens the guys’ chances of getting to Cannes in time for the Medellin premiere. Ari attempts to assuage the feelings of Mrs. Ari and Lloyd, who each make it clear (in their own way) that they want to accompany him on the trip. Billy finds room in his script for Eric’s new client, but will Eric’s ambivalence ruin his relationship with her, and Vince?
First off, I have to comment on how even in the face an elevated terror threat at LAX, the boys remain focused on themselves, are more concerned with how they’re going to get to Cannes. Pure luck lands them on “Air Kanye”, and I’m really starting to wonder just how large of a role luck plays in the acting career of Vincent Chase. We’ve never really seen much of his acting, so for all we know, his entire career is sheer luck, and possibly not much talent. I do have to say that Vinnie’s “all or none” attitude when faced with the prospect that not all of his entourage would make it to Cannes is commendable. Again, Vince’s sense of loyalty wins out. And this loyalty is reciprocated by Eric, who opts to lie to his new client, Anna Faris, to try to appease Vince, and ends up losing her. There’s one thing I continue to not understand … Vince’s blind faith in Billy. This mad genius writer/director has been erratic, crazed and unreliable from the get go, but Vince still believes in him.
A couple of other highlights from this episode … Drama coining a new word, “clush” a combination of client and crush, referring to Anna Faris; Mrs. Ari’s consolation prize for not going to Cannes (a very lavish shopping spree); seeing an Air Canada plane in the background at LAX; and Kanye West’s pre-flight banter, which really showed a side of the rap star I never knew existed.
Only one episode remains, and who knows how the season will end? What do you think will happen in Cannes when Medellin has its debut?

All things Ari, are not created equal!
I really find it difficult to fathom the sheer luck a person would be required to have, to succeed as Vincent Chase does. It’s utterly mind boggling how everything always works out for him. There’s no real struggle for this guy to have the #1 movie in any given season, to go from priceless pad to priceless pad in a few short weeks even when struggling (and spending like there’s no tomorrow), yet never suffer loss like even the best actors in real life Hollywood do. I can’t understand how a series raps up perfectly in almost every 30 minute episode. There’s no carryover, even though the storyline remains. I still love watching Entourage, but I REALLY want to see Medellin fail this week, crushing Vince and Billy, just to add some depth to the story. I’d rather go through Drama’s trials and tribulations than to see Vinnie win yet again.
And how the hell does Turtle know Kanye? (Sidebar - JT will kick Kanye’s ass in the new “Micheal vs Prince” war - LOL). Where does this come from? Turtle is a driver that only hangs with his buddies. Where’s he meeting these hot chicks and big celebs? You’d think at least Eric would be doing that!
Mrs. Ari rules, and she deserves a pool boy… Hey wait… I need a job! LOL
