Have a Party - See Friday Night Lights Sneak Peek!
In anticipation of the second season of Friday Night lights NBC is employing a unique method to promote the show, a house party.
The site explains:
On September 14th, let your friends in on TV’s best drama!
Host a Friday Night Lights House Party and you’ll get the ultimate party package, including a behind-the-scenes sneak peek of the opening episode of Season 2, weeks before it premieres on-air.”
The site for the event explains all the details but part of the package includes a disk with
the first four episodes of season 1.
In my mind this is an amazing way to promote the show. Critically acclaimed, but having only a small fan base Friday Night Lights is one of those shows that really needs to rely upon word of mouth to grow it’s viewership. Further this is smart idea because the party atmosphere would almost give it a Super Bowl feel which would be great to rope in fans that enjoy the sport.
