With the name “A change is going to come,” viewers expected some sort of change to actually occur with the beginning of the new season. But the show started right where it left off and that includes its downer attitude. Every single one of our new residents is depressed. The show didn’t really reveal anything new, and I felt like I was watching Grey’s Anatomy midseason. It just was dull. But there are a few things that I did like about the premier.

The addition of Lexie Grey to the show is going to be a great development. I really like her. She reminds me a lot of Meredith with all her problems, but she refuses to let them ruin her and she keeps pushing on. The scene between George and Lexie was the best in the show. She encourages him to stop his pity party and later helps him look like the big shot intern since he delivered a baby on his first day.

I’m still excited to see the interns go from the students to the teachers. I think it’s going to be really funny. Cristina calls her interns by numbers and Izzie’s interns hate her. The scene with her fixing the deer was one of the cheesiest and most annoying of the entire show.

The only real change that happened was George finally told Izzie that he loved her. This is going to produce some interesting storylines especially since Callie and George were trying for a baby. I’m still wondering if he’ll leave Callie or not. I’m not sure he has it in him.

Your thoughts of the premier? Did you think it lived up to its name or is Grey’s going to remain the same as last season?

I liked it enough. Then again, your right in that it didn’t feel like much of a change in the show. Meridith and McDreamy are in the same situation as before. I wish they would just leave those two alone for a while and focuse the drama somewhere else. I’m also a little confused, if Cally is really the new Chief, then why is the old Chief still around? I thought he was retiring.
