CBS has taken the first step toward giving Big Bang Theory fans just what they want; an order for a full seasons worth of episodes.

CBS gave full-season order to rookie comedy The Big Bang Theory. Big Bang stepped right into the network’s successful Monday-night comedy block, averaging a 3.6 rating in adults 18-49 and nearly 9 million viewers. In its first season, it is also building on its How I Met Your Mother lead-in by 9% in the demo and 10% in viewers.

This is the best possible news for the producers and fans as Big Bang Theory will now have the comfort of working out the remaining kinks (of which there are very few) and settling in to sharpen an already very good show. Big Bang Theory airs Mondays at 8:30ET on CBS.
