Leroy Jethro Gibbs…swarthy and uncool!

Those who read my NCIS column each week know how much it tickles me when people are shocked to see how well the show is doing. This is the second week I’m going to quote BuddyTV.com’s reaction to the show.

NCIS, ladies and gentleman, your number one Tuesday night TV program. That’s right, NCIS had the most overall viewers of any TV series last night, much to the bemusement of everyone I’ve ever met. Literally, I don’t even know what NCIS is about. Can someone let me know? I know it stars a silver-haired middle aged man who looks relatively swarthy. I’m guessing that at the beginning of the show, some crime is committed and that, after an investigation, the crime is solved. NCIS. I don’t get it. It beat Dancing with the Stars last night. It didn’t have House to compete with because of baseball, but still. Color me baffled.

Mark Harmon…swarthy? I love this guy! And I love how CBS very much started all of this. NCIS can keep being “uncool.” I, and millions of others will just keep on watching. NCIS airs 8ET Tuesdays on CBS.

I absolutely love NCIS, over here in belgium it airs on sundays right before csi miami, and the more i watch that, the more david caruso gets on my nerves with his always sideways talking to people. NOT so for NCIS every character on that show i’ve grown to like and love! i have no idea what season we are on here, la grenouille is last seen dead in the water, so if anybody can help me out, tell me if we are far behind on the rest of you! What makes ncis stand out for me, must absolutely be the characters and the actors that play them!! all are great and i can’t think of anyone better in that role! although i sometimes long for the time that Abby grows up, thinking that she probably will look better in normal people clothes!!

I love this show, no doubt about it!!

    Bert,
You folks in Belgium are watching the current episodes from this season! You are not behind at all. If you haven’t had the chance, try to locate seasons 1 through 4 on DVD. I have written an article here on Pauley Perrette (Abby) and I think it’s funny that you think she should grow up. I do too since the actress is 38 years old!!! But then, the real appeal of Abby Sciuzo would be lost wouldn’t it?
