Greetings loyal readers!
For those of you who have been returning to this site repeatedly over the last week to discover an incredible lack of posting, I do apologize. We have not been providing you with your daily fix of TV related banter.
Originally this site was a spinoff site of The Movie Blog.com and I still do contribute over there. John Campea and I have come to an agreement for me to run this site and in light of his current situation, a lot of doubt about the future of the TVShowBlog.com has been brought forward.
We are not going anywhere! Not to say that we are going nowhere, just that this site is staying right were it is and looking to a bright future.
With this new deal that John has with his new owners will not affect the future of the TVShowBlog.com. Although our humble roots started with the Movie Blog, this site is independant of that one and will continue to grow.
Where do we go from there? I am currently in discussion with my existing writers to bring fresh up to date and consistent TV punditry right to your browser. We should have a new look, new site, and writers just chomping at the bit to share their opinions on just about anything TV with you.
So thanks for sticking around. Please stick around a tiny bit more.
Edit Just to address some of the comments below.
Yes, Wordpress is a large consideration. John has shown me some of the advantages of wordpress and the customization available so it is tempting me.
Also, the links to the left which label each show already customize the site so that if you want to see any content just about one show or category you can. That will remain in the new site as well.

Switchin to wordpress also its the way forward? Giving writers there own login details?
This will be alot better instead of comin and every single post is submitted that in one day.
I know you say you wanna stay away from recaps but i feel it would be, good to discuss episodes.

Try to stay away from recaps! You can get a recap on any TV site. This site has it’s own unique flavor and style. Keep it going!
I like the wordpress idea so that contributers can post on their own. Rodney could even keep editorial approval by not allowing contributers to publish, only write.
Having all of the posts popup at once is really the only criticism I have against the site.
While I like not having to login to anything in order to post comments, I think it would be an added feature to both this and the movie blog to have some sort of registration where people can login in and customize the site to their liking, have avatars etc. This is ESPECIALLY relavent for the TV show blog, since I don’t watch let’s say… BSG (which I do, it’s just an example) I should be able to say that I don’t want to display blogs concerning BSG and that way the site is more adapted to my favorite shows and I don’t have to go shuffling around mass amounts of content.
I think for me anyway the TV show blog has the potential to be an amazing site, even a start page for my web browser but for now the quantity and overall breadth of the site just isn’t there. Just for example, when I came on today I wasn’t thinking “Oh I wonder what the new blog is at thetvshowblog.com” instead I was thinking “The guys at the thetvshowblog.com haven’t posted anything for a while, I wonder if there’s anything going on”
So I think you guys just have to get some new content in and maybe think about adding some sort of filter or customizable options to the site and this site will be my one destination for TV news and opinions- That’s my two cents, cheers!
