Sunday night, during NFL on NBC, the teaser for the new Knight Rider TV Movie premiered. The auto site Jalopnik.com has a description and video.
The rainbow-colored network dropped their first promo for the new Knight Rider TV movie. It was only a few seconds long, but as soon as we saw the Ford/Shelby GT500KR logo flashing red lights and the voice of Will Arnett they had us at hello.
The TV movie is also acting as a backdoor pilot for a new series. I have more hope for this movie than the awful Knight Rider 2000, and the new car design is nice.
Undoubtedly, some purists will jump at the chance to complain about the fact that K.I.T.T. is a Ford and not a Trans-Am, but it is no longer in production. I like the new look, and who cares as long as it is an everyman sports-car.
Go on over and check out the promo if you haven’t seen it. It’s not much, but it does get the imagination moving.
Any thoughts on the new Knight Rider?
