Well tonight’s Dick Clark Rockin New Year’s Eve got a nice little kick off and I decided that I would blog my feelings on the various New Year’s shows and performances that I will be channel surfing this evening.

First off is the Dick Clark New Years Eve show with Ryan Seacrest. A great deal of respect is being given by Seacrest who clearly knows that this gig is now his, but still recognizes that its STILL Dick Clark’s show. As for the performances, so far we have seen Miley Cyrus as well as the Jonas Brothers and we were introduced to the West Coast host for the evening Fergie.

Despite the insane popularity of Hannah Montana I am not familiar with the music of Miley Cyrus. Clearly I am outside her target demographic but I have to hand it to the kid. She is going to be a major talent. All of her music is far more mature than her voice conveys. Once her voice matures that kid is going to be an even bigger talent than she already is (in her age span) and she will earn me as a fan.

And Fergie looked so hot and classy.

So now we are off to channel surf since Dick Clark seems to take a break for an hour for local news.
