‘Law’ Is Brought to the UK

Law & Order is just one of those strange shows where I end up drifting to out of simple boredom and end up finding myself glued to it. It has to do with the fact that L&O feels real. It’s overdramatized, but it’s based on the procedural way cops and district attorneys really do their job. Apparently, I’m not the only one who shares this opinion. The show has had at least 4 spinoffs (Criminal Intent, Special Victoms Unit, the short-lived Trial By Jury and Conviction) and looks to be spreading it’s infection overseas.Hollywood Reporter gives us this.

NBC Universal and Wolf Films are in negotiations to license U.K. format rights to the long-running procedural drama series to British production company Kudos Film & Television, sources said. ITV is set to air the tentatively titled “Law & Order: London,” which Kudos, the company behind BBC’s “Hustle,” will co-produce. ”L&O: London” will mark the first locally produced version of Dick Wolf’s original “L&O” series and the first English-language version of any series in the “L&O” franchise outside of the U.S.

It’s just more proof that Law & Order is taking over the world!
