Canadian Idol may be the clone of American Idol for us Canadians, but then American Idol wasn’t the original either. Audition locations are being announced onTVGuide:

Season 6 of the hit reality show returns in June but the 2008 Audition Tour kicks off Jan. 26 at West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton. The 10-city tour will hit malls in nine other cities from the end of the month through to mid-April.

Last year, we saw our own Hamilton Native Brian Melo won the gig and this has prompted Canadian Idol organizers to thinking Hamilton has more talent to offer. So instead of hitting up the Toronto auditions, those from the Hammer can check it out locally.

Interestingly enough, one of the former stops that yielded a Number Two contestant Theresa Sokyrka and consistently supplies top ten results was missing from the list. Saskatoon Saskatchewan is no longer on the Idol Trail.
