Last night FOX debuted the new series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. It was a strong pilot, though not perfect. It provided a good bridge between T2 and the series. The 2nd part of the pilot airs tonight.
Over at TerminatorSite there is a short interview with Summer Glau, the newest Terminator.
“It is very difficult when you’re doing a scene with someone who’s very emotional, she continues. “I do a lot of scenes with Lena [Headey], and she’s a very passionate character. Very, very human and emotional, and I, as an actress, can’t give any back to her. I just feel really guilty.”
I found Summer’s portrayal of the Terminator to be reminiscent of her Serenity character, River Tam. On Serenity, River tended to be emotionless most of the time, so the parallels are expected. It was a strong pilot which already has me more excited than the last reincarnation we got…Bionic Women.
Are we looking forward to this series? How does it compare to other new Sci-Fi series we’ve had this season?

I enjoyed the show. I am looking forward to more episodes. The only thing I find wrong is that John Connor is a little to wimpy.
Summer actually acts a bit TOO emotional for a terminator, but maybe thats in her programming. On Firefly she just acted nuts. Its hard to live up to the Governator.
