One of the longest running game shows, The Price Is Right, will be coming back to prime time. This wont be Drew Carey’s first primetime game show, but his first time in the primetime Price. Variety reports:

In a bid to cut down on strike repeats, CBS is bringing back the primetime edition of “The Price is Right.” Net has greenlit six hourlong episodes of “Price” that will air Fridays at 8 p.m., starting Feb. 22. Eye has used “Price” in primetime a few times over the past few years, but this will be the first time the show has aired at night since Drew Carey replaced Bob Barker as host.

The Price Is Right is a classic game show and I’d rather have it as a replacement than some of the dreck game/reality shows we’ve gotten lately. It’s a good move for CBS to put such a well recognized name prime time.
