In what can only be compared to VH-1 pop-up video, ABC is airing an “enhanced” version of last seasons finale. The information from Sci-Fi Wire is:

ABC will air an “enhanced” rerun of the third-season finale of its SF series Lost at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Jan. 30, a day before the fourth-season premiere airs; the finale will feature on-screen facts and backstory in the form of text on the lower third of the screen.

ABC has really gone out of there way this season to try to bring new viewers into the show, as well as hold on to old casual viewers who may think it’s been too long. I hadn’t planned on watching the re-run, but now I actually may. This makes for a more interesting start to the new season.
