ProfitChillerTV announced that they are brining back two short lived series from the 90s. One starring Heroes’ Adrian Pasdar (Profit) and another starring Lost’s Terry O’Quinn (Millennium). Profit was a creation of Whedonverse alumn David Greenwalt, and Millennium from The X-File’s Chris Carter. The Futon Critic has the press release:

Viewers will spend the 29 days of February on edge as Chiller brings back fan-favorites, themed movie marathons and a spine-tingling Valentine’s Day of programming. Audiences will be kept in suspense with fan-favorites “Profit” and “Millennium” - with never-before-seen episodes, a marathon of “Tales From The Darkside” and movies featuring cameo appearances by A-list stars.

“Chiller has a great line-up for February including rarely seen films with some of the best actors of our time,” said Dan Harrison, Senior Vice President, Emerging Networks, NBC Universal Cable. “Bringing Profit and Millennium back to TV is exactly what Chiller fans want and expect.”

I vaguely remember Profit. As for Millennium, I did watch some of the episodes in the original run, and my father was a huge fan. With the lack of new shows I think I’ll give this a re-look. Terry O’Quinn is such an engaging actor, and I don’t need an excuse to watch him.

Those who saw the original air, what did you think? Are these old shows worth a second look?

Profit was an amazing show well ahead of it’s time. People just weren’t ready for the anti-hero. Pasdar was awesome in it. Such a badass character with some serious mental issues.

Never know this show air before now! I live for each episode all week long. It’s the greatest and still seems very up-to-date based on the technology they are using in the series. I usually go for the good guy hero, but when I see a bad person trying to hurt Profit, I’m immedately on his side (the epoisode with the reporter)! He’s a love-hate type of personallity.
