Although previously annouced by DC, it appears Chloe’s rise to legitimacy in the DC world has been thwarted. ComicBookMovie.com is reporting:
“Chloe is an exciting character on the television show, and we had hoped to work her into DC continuity,” DiDio told Newsarama last week, “but unfortunately, the stars did not align properly, and even though we had announced it, she will not be appearing in any of the issues of Superman or Action Comics.”
It is a shame that they’ve decided to cancel the plans. As the article speculates, I assume it had something to do with creative control between Smallville producers and DC Comics. Hopefully they revisit it in the future.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the strike threatening Chloes future with the show.
Allison speculated that if the strike went on much longer that she may be forced to leave Smallville. Those bills don’t pay themselves.
Although I’d love to see Chloe Sullivan as she is portrayed by Allison Mack in the comics, I wasn’t pleased to hear the character would be changed so completely (not Clark’s age, not his best friend, doesn’t know his secret, all because Chloe is so much like Lois Lane there is not room for two characters so alike in the comics) that the character isn’t really Smallville Chloe at all. She’s just a character who has Chloe’s name and that’s it so it wouldn’t have been the real Chloe Sullivan at all. Bring me the real Chloe Sullivan and I’d be delighted. But this was just an attempt to get fans to read the comics under essentially false pretenses.
Allison Mack has done such a wonderful job of making Chloe a delightfully real and dynamic character that this was hardly right. It is in no way a refection on Allison but on the people in the comics and on Smallville who came up with such a lame idea.
