The water cooler talk about Survivor may have died down, but CBS is still behind the hit show. According to TV Guide:

CBS has ordered not one but two more cycles of the reality competition. “Survivor is a show that defies ratings gravity,” CBS reality boss Ghen Maynard tells Variety.

New episodes start up on February 7th, and it seems like the public still hasn’t reached their saturation point for Survivor. The upcoming Survivor: Micronesia is the 16th. I for one am surprised they haven’t run out of places to survive yet.

I do think they do just the right mix of gimmick seasons and regular seasons though. This “Fans vs. Favorites” angle is definitely bringing people back to the show. While they’re ratings have been in a steady decline, I could see this building them back up again.
