One of the brightest stars on television this season is Anna Friel of Pushing Daisies. Her performance on the show is one of the reasons for it’s success. She has now joins Will Ferrell as his love interest in Land of the Lost. SciFi Wire has:

Anna Friel (ABC’s Pushing Daisies) has landed the female lead in Land of the Lost opposite star Will Ferrell, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Brad Silberling directs the adventure fantasy for Universal Pictures, a film adaptation of Sid and Marty Krofft’s 1970s live-action kids TV show.

I’m a lifelong fan of Sid and Marty Krofft, and having Anna Friel in one of their movies is exciting. She is such a good actor, and the more exposure she has the better. Not just for her, but for Pushing Daisies.

With principal photography beginning next month, this shores up the statements made by Bryan Fuller that production for this season is done.
