After last nights Lost, “The Constant”, questions on how time-travel fits into the show are definitely on the minds of viewers. In this weeks Official Lost Podast, the producers attempt to tackle the questions before they are asked:

Lindelof: We are very paradox averse. When characters are time traveling, nothing that they do can change the present or the future that you have seen.

Lindelof: Ms. Hawking basically explained those rules in the first [Desmond] episode, “Flashing Before Your Eyes” where she basically said…the universe has a way of course correcting.

I do like this more ‘realistic’ approach to time-travel instead of the Back to the Future ’cause my own non-existence’ approach. This makes the show more enjoyable, and less confusing. If flash-forwards could be rendered false by time-travel, the show would loose allot of its power.

How to you feel about Lost’s approach to time-travel? Or even having time-travel as an element at all?
