Michael Ausiello is reporting in his latest vodcast that “The Office” is considering expanding the number of shows to 30 next season to make up for this strike-shortened season.

“We’ll be getting fewer Office episodes than usual this season…But NBC is looking to make up for the shortfall next season. My Office spies tell me that ‘the peacock’ has ordered 30 episodes for next season.”

“Production of this seasons 6 post strike episodes begin this Thursday”.

I am all for more of “The Office” as long as they are 30 “episodes” and not “supersized” into a full-hour. The shows suffered every time it tried the 1-hour format this season, and I would hate for it to put fluff in just to fill the expanded time.

I still wonder what they are going to do with Angela’s pregnancy.
