Despite recent rumors, Jerry Seinfeld is NOT making a comeback to primetime television. Yahoo TV reports.
Jerry Seinfeld and NBC have denied a report in the New York Post claiming the comic is in talks to star as himself in a sitcom similar in style to HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, which features Seinfeld cocreator Larry David.
I’m a big fan of the sitcom, but oddly Seinfeld was one of those shows I didn’t get into until after it went off the air. While I would be interested in Jerry doing a new show, I just don’t think it would live up to his great show about nothing. Therefore, this news doesn’t quite make me as sad as I might have thought.

I saw reports of this all day, and I just didn’t believe it.
I’m a huge fan of both Jerry and Larry. Based on what they have said over the years, I don’t see Jerry doing something like that. I would be very surprised.
Jerry has commented that he wanted to do a “Seinfeld” reunion for the DVD box-set release, but the “Bee Movie” schedule prevented it. So, if he had the time to do a TV show, I would expect it to be a Seinfeld-15 years later kind of thing.
