David Tennant Interview on BBC Radio
The BBC Radio 5 program “Daily Mayo” had an interview with “Doctor Who”, David Tennant. The program originally aired Wednesday, April 2nd, but is available for a short time podcast.
Simon is joined by ‘The Dr’, David Tennant, who talks about amongst other things the new series of Dr Who which airs on BBC1 this Saturday.
In the interview, David gives insight into this season. It begins with Donna deciding that her decision not to go with The Doctor was a bad one, and she’s spent the last year trying to bump into him again. The whole 13 weeks is The Doctor and Donna. He discusses some of the planets and places they visit this season, not too spoilery, but very interesting.
He also clears up whether or not Donna and The Doctor are attracted to each other, and addresses the controversy of companions as love interests. What can be considered spoilery is the discussion of previous ‘companions’ that drop in and out of the series.
There are other spoilers discussed that were published in Radio Times magazine. I recommend that if you’d like to avoid spoilers to avoid the Radio Time article. It spoils just about every episode.
BBC viewers get “Doctor Who” tomorrow, April 5th @6:20 on BBC1. U.S. viewers start with the Christmas Special, Friday, April 18 @8:30 on SciFi.
Also, remember that “The Sarah Jane Adventures” makes it debut in the US on Friday, April 8th @7:30 on SciFi Channel.
