The lovely and talented Anna Friel was put through an embarrassing ordeal in preparation for her role on “Pushing Daisies”. IMDB has this story.
British actress Anna Friel was forced to have her teeth fixed for her role in TV drama Pushing Daisies. The 31-year-old was encouraged to improve her appearance for the part after the show’s producer noticed her teeth were discolored and crooked. Friel was upset by comments at first but went on to book a whitening treatment and have an orthodontic brace fitted in a bid to improve her smile. She says, “When I first started filming Pushing Daisies, my agent and the producer told me I needed to have my teeth whitened. I’m very good at brushing them. So I refused . Everyone just shrugged and told me they’d do a test film. When I saw it, I couldn’t believe what I looked like on screen. I’m not kidding, compared to everyone else my teeth looked green. I was horribly embarrassed.”
Honestly, I’m just using this as an excuse to talk about “Pushing Daisies”. It was my favorite new show this past season, and I miss it quite a bit. I really wish that ABC would start reairing the season soon, as there is no news on a DVD release.
I feel a little teased that the Daisies season was so short. As with “Heroes”, they understandably decided not to bring it back after the WGA strike was resolved. But it still sucks.

Oh yes I miss this show so much. In Latin America they are just started airing it like a month ago and Im absolutely obessesed by it. The colors, the characters, the wardrobe, the cars, the chemistry between the leads, the premise is like everything works on its own weird way. I think is been a long time since we have something this refreshing on entertainment or a couple that is so unnapologetic in love. Kudos to Fuller, Lee, Anna and all the cast is a wonderful show that had won my hearth.I cant wait for more!
