There are potentially three Battlestar Galactica movies in the works at the moment, and one may start filming this summer.

The Los Angeles Times spoke with Grace “Number 8″ Park by phone, and she had this to say:

“I just heard about the first Battlestar movie being greenlit … a TV movie, but still! But this — it’s like, yeah, it’s over but we’re ready to move on but nobody’s manager or agent has been called. It’s supposed to start in August.”

If they were going to do any films with this cast, now would be the time to do it before they’ve completely moved on to their next projects. At this point, SciFi has not confirmed any BSG films, although they’ve indicated they’d like to see another film like Razor, and Ronald D. Moore has indicated that he’d be on board. Think this, or any other films, will actually happen? I’m remaining hopeful. It’s going to be a long stretch until the final episodes of BSG air in 2009, and what better than a film to tide us over until then?
