Sensational Sherri Passes Away

Category: News

It is incredibly sad to report to all of you that WWE hall of famer and instrumental diva "Sensational" Sherri Martel has passed away

WWE.com reports

WWE is saddened to learn of the death of WWE Hall of Famer "Sensational" Sherri. She was 49.

She passed away at her mother's home in Birmingham, Ala. Friday morning, according to her husband of 10 years, Robert Schrull.

"It's a great loss to the wrestling world," he told WWE.com. The couple resided in St. Petersburg, Fla."

Professional wrestling has gained noteriety as a sport with an abundance of wrestlers who die before their time, however the expectation has not dulled the pain that comes with it. Growing up, she was the worst type of women. I was a child of early 90s WWF and I distincty remember her insane outfits and screams. For me, my fondest memories were her with The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, I still chuckle to myself when I see footage of him cracking the mirror over her. She was a truly classy women and I know that she joins her fellow wrestlers in the great ring in the sky.

And that God's ears....are going to be ringing for a long long time

Rest in Peace Sherri
