After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that Isaiah Washington will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy.
After a controversial season, Isaiah Washington will not be returning to Grey's Anatomy, his rep and ABC Television Studio have confirmed. In my opinion, Washington is getting what he deserves. He caused drama on the set and his terrible behavior towards fellow cast member, T.R. Knight, shouldn’t be rewarded by having him on the show. Even in the end, Washington couldn’t show any amount of decency and releases a statement like that. I’m glad that the producers finally stood up to him.Howard Bragman, Washington's publicist, says Washington's option was not renewed, and released this statement from the actor: "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more."
As for Burke’s character not being on the show, I am not that upset. I never really connected with him. I liked the character but didn’t love him and I especially didn’t feel any devotion to the Cristina/ Burke romance. But I am curious as to what the actor’s departure is going to do to the show. Creator Shonda Rhimes has said that she has outlined the entire show and knows where it is going. Is the writing of the show going to falter more?
What do you think? Should Washington have been let go? Do you think the show is going to be hurt because of it?

Great post Angela, and I totally agree. Washington got what he deserved. Acting is a profession, for professionals... and they should behave as such.

Good Post!
I personally think that Burk is an expendable character. I don't really know if the show will be hurt. The last season was a disappointment, so maybe getting rid of a character will help shake things up?
