Moonlight Announces New Executive Producer

Category: Moonlight

Well, changes on the staff of “Moonlight” are continuing. David Greenwalt, the original executive producer and the guy who recast the character of Joseph that I mentioned earlier this week has apparently left the show and been replaced, according to the Hollywood Reporter on August 2:

Chip Johannessen has been tapped as executive producer/showrunner on CBS' upcoming drama series ‘Moonlight.’
I’ve never actually heard of Chip Johannessen, nor have I watched any of the shows that this small piece from the Hollywood Reporter says that he’s worked on, but I still have high hopes for this show.

Has anybody heard of this guy or does anybody just want to discuss the changes that are happening on “Moonlight” before the first episode even airs?

Emily-

I was a big fan of Millenium and Dark Angel- after watching the trailer on youtube- I hope he's able to bring a little dark subtext to what looked like Ghost Whisperer meets Angel- and not even good eps of Angel. Anyhow- I'm all for vampire with a heart of burnished gold shows but there seemed to be so little self-examination to the main character in the trailer. You'd think after Buffy and Angel- David G. would have had this stuff down pat. Hmmm, maybe CBS wasn't ready for constant emotional turmoil and the philosophical angst. Eeesh- the whole "You saved me!/ You saved us both." Blech. Okay okay- Sorry! I shouldn't judge till I see more. I hope it goes better- maybe the itunes premiere will shut me up. Thanks for your posts!
