Moonlight Recasting Info

Category: Moonlight

Here’s a tid-bit of casting information about the CBS vampire-private-investigator show Moonlight. It was reported by TV.com at the beginning of July, but there hasn’t been any mention of it here on the TV Show Blog. So here it goes:

TV.com reports

Moonlight, the upcoming CBS crime drama featuring vampires, will also be tapping a former cast member of a beloved CW show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jason Dohring has signed on to play Josef, a vampire who gets by as a hedge-fund trader. The role was originally played by 60-year old Rade Serbedzija before execs decided to overhaul the character
As a BIG fan of the teen PI show Veronica Mars I am totally excited to see that Jason Dohring will soon be on television again. He was great as Logan and I’m sure that he will be great as Josef. I’m also looking forward to this show because it sounds like a great combination of Veronica Mars with Angel, two shows which I absolutely loved and which ended too soon.

Anybody else excited to see Jason Dohring playing a vampire?

That's pretty cool. Don't know much about this show, but VM was great and Angel is also one of my all time favorites, so definitely going to give this a shot.
