My Name is Earl - The List

Category: My Name is Earl

One of the main plot points of My Name is Earl is his list of bad things he did in the past. The list came about after Earl (Jason Lee) wins the lottery, and a car immediately hits him. While in the hospital, he decides that Karma is telling him to shape up. Earl takes stock of his life by recording all the wrongs he committed in the past. Each episode usually sees Earl making amends for one of the items on his list. As he says in the credits, "I'm just trying to be a better person".

Wikipedia has a somewhat complete list. I think my favorites are:

Gave Joy 236 bladder infections (#154)
Had garage sale while house-sitting for neighbors (#147, #142)
Told Joy that Bruce Willis was a ghost (#152)
Honestly, how can you give someone 236 bladder infections?

I like to believe in Karma, the whole 'what goes around, comes around' makes sense. I especially believe in driving Karma, if you don't let people over, you will never get to merge!

So what do you think about Karma?

I'm a big Karma guy. But I don't think Earl is to blame for the bladder infections. He's kind of the cause but not really to blame. Assuming Joy got them via sex. It would be funny if it turned out that Earl only gave her about half of them and the other's can from random other guys and she made him think that he gave them to her.

Is anyone else just waiting for Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes cameos on this show?
