One of the funniest, and probably THE most awkward, moment in the history of The Office was during the “Gay Witch Hunt” episode last season. In the episode, Michael (Steve Carell), upset that he has alienated the freshly outed Oscar (Oscar Nunez), decides to prove to the staff how open minded and accepting he is by kissing Oscar on the mouth.

In an interview on IGN.com

According to Nunez, the kiss was totally unscripted. Neither he, nor anyone else in the scene, knew Carell was going to go that far. Luckily, only one take was necessary…despite the surprise kiss, none of the actors in the scene lost their composure.
