from E! Online that "Coach", Craig T. Nelson is joining the cast of My Name is Earl. Here's the scoop from E!Online

Well, according to insiders close to the show, Craig T. Nelson—you know, Coach!—is joining the cast of My Name Is Earl to play the warden at Camden County Jail, where Earl is spending time. But he's no Henry Pope of Prison Break—he's more into videogames than mind games. We'll also meet his wife, who just happens to be the governor.

I think I like the casting here. Nelson is pretty good in some of those middle/supporting roles. (As the defendant in "The Devil's Advocate" comes to mind.) I'm not so sure about having him married to the Governor is. I can already see the cheesy pleas to talk to his wife about a pardon from friends. I guess that's going to be the way of karma for Earl this go around.

Any thoughts on "Coach's" role in Earl's life?
