Team Medellin has finally made it to Cannes, but will it be cheers or jeers for the highly anticipated film? Here’s the skinny on “The Cannes Kids” from HBO.com: At Cannes, the guys party it up and attend to the business of selling Medellin, a not-so-easy task since the finished film has yet to be screened. Meanwhile, Drama enjoys the benefits of Viking Quest's popularity overseas.
So, my suspicions about Medellin have been confirmed – Billy truly fudged up what could have been a great film. It’s so bad that not even mobster Yair Marx wants his money tied up in it. It was a promising start at Cannes, with the initial offer from Yair, and a subsequent offer by Dana Gordon. Going into the debut screening of Medellin, Yair was the winner, having sold it over the phone to Medellin’s trainwreck of a financier, Nicky Rubenstein. Rubenstein, still under house arrest, is broke, and desperate for as much cash as possible. In the end, after the booing, and Yair walking out on the gang, Harvey Weinstein buys the film – for a dollar! Eric was right all along about the film. I wonder if this will finally be enough to open Vince’s eyes that the erratic Billy could kill the young star’s career.
I have to say, I was more caught up in Drama’s story line than the whole Medellin fiasco. Johnny Chase is very confident as he arrives in Cannes, knowing that Viking Quest is still a sensation in France, and meets an adoring girl, Jacqueline, aboard Yair’s yacht. He has her, he loses her, searches all over for her, but then she finds him outside the Medellin screening, which he ends up skipping to be with her. As Drama’s famous character Tarvold would say, “Victory!” Could this be true love for Drama? I predict we’ll be seeing more of Jacqueline in Season 5, perhaps Stateside as Mrs. Chase?
Now that it’s behind us, what did you think of Season 4? What were your favourite (or least favourite) moments? Let the wait for Season 5 commence.

This episode, like most Entourage episodes dragged out the meat of the entire show until the last minute...and then the movie was a flop! It's a good cliffhanger though, because now I can't wait until next season to see what happens when Vince & Co. go back to Hollywood.
I was actually pretty caught up in Drama's story as well. I was happy for him when he finally got the girl. Go Drama!
Billy Walsh by the way is a clown. I can't stand his character and I agree, I think he is going to ruin not only Vince's career, but also the fact that Ari just sold the "Dream Team" package to a large studio solely based on the hype surrounding Medellin. What's going to happen next? Will the guys all be living out of Drama's apartment again?
