Though the wonderful BSG won best special effects or some such at the Emmy's last night, Eureka still has a big week ahead (It was an honor just to be nominated!).
Last week, Phoenix Rising launched things on Space and last Tuesday's God is in the Details got big for SciFi ratings!
According to www.VisitEureka.net, "The latest episode of Eureka scored a superb 1.8 HH rating, which is the highest of the season since the season premiere on July 10"
Scifi.com also has Eureka listed as it's second highest rated show behind WWE Raw
Tonight on Space @ 10EST, Try, Try Again will air. The episode is one of the few this season that features Allison in a pivotal role. For some reason this season there's a lot more Fargo and a lot less Allison. Hrmph. I am glad that the Powers that Be didn't just push the reset button on last season, but I shed little tears for the Carter/ Blake future.
And on SciFi Channel tomorrow night @ 9EST, Maneater airs guest starring the lovely Mrs. Michael Shanks- Lexa Doig!
I have been staying away from spoilers, but the teaser looks like Maneater will be Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered meets an episode from each and every incarnation of Star Trek.
So with all the possible affections Carter will have directed toward him tomorrow night, is anyone else sad- like me! - at the seeming dissolution of any hope for Jack and Allison? Is anyone else kinda bored with the non entity of Kevin and his seeming status as master of the known universe?
But even with my dissatisfaction with those plot points, I have truly enjoyed the evolution of Jack and Zoe's relationship while I continue to love every single minute of Joe Morton's (Henry Deacon) fine performances- though I can't understand what Henry could possibly hope to gain by teaming up with Stark. Please comment and lets converse. :)

I've loved this show from the beginning! Jack is just perfect as the guy who tries to make sense of a world he never knew existed and proves again and again that he is smarter than everyone assumes, going right to the heart of matters when the brainiacs are stumped. Jack and Zoe are great, too, and I found it puzzling to see Zoe hide her IQ test results from her dad; I tend to think Jack is way smarter than he lets on anyway and it seems his daughter is just like him.
Henry, the best Jack of all trades ever, is a hoot although I wondered where exactly they were going with his character and why on Earth he or Allison would trust Stark but not Jack with this big secret. While Stark is almost always annoying and supercilious, even he is starting to grow on me; there have been a few moments when he acted almost human before reverting to form.
Jack and Allison have great chemistry and I love to see them interact. I think last season's finale made it clear there could be a future for Jack and Allison but they aren't going to go there just yet. I would like to see a little more acknowledged tension between them, looks or touches or something to let us know they feel the attraction though while we wait. I'd hate to think his promise to Allison in the alternate reality was not going to be made real at some point. Just be glad this show didn't end up on the CW or we've have years of crappy angst that would just drive you up the wall.
I still want a smart house of my own and a Cafe Diem to patronize at lunch! Please?
